With over 14 years of event planning and hospitality experience, Ashley understands the importance of providing superior quality and excellence at every event. Having previously worked at some of the GTA’s most prestigious venues, Ashley joined the Deer Creek Team in 2012. From beautiful weddings to stress-free corporate events, Ashley is here to ensure that every Deer Creek Event is impeccably planned and executed.

Madison Mason

Event Coordinator

Having worked in the event planning industry for several years, Madison joined the Deer Creek Team 4 years ago as an assistant in the events department, helping execute weddings every Saturday. In 2016, Madison made the transition to join our team full-time as one of our Sales and Events Coordinators. Since that time, Madison has worked tirelessly to make sure your experience at Deer Creek is one you will never forget!

Jodee Seiden

Event Coordinator

Jodee joined the Deer Creek team in 2014 and has been planning and executing fabulous events since. Jodee has over 12 years of experience in a variety of event planning industries from large hotels, off site catering and resort properties from the Kawartha Lakes to the GTA. With a true passion for event planning, Jodee will ensure that your event will be picture-perfect.

Lauren Russell

Sales Coordinator

In 2013 Lauren joined the DC team as an events coordinator and thoroughly enjoyed meeting new couples and clients and finding out what they needed to create the perfect day for their event. After mat leave she returned to the events office part time managing our social media pages, helping execute internal events and spending time understanding where the industry is going and helping us get there. Currently on mat leave again until next September, Lauren can’t wait to be back with the team!

Executive Chef Sean Ashley, with over 18 years of experience, creates culinary feats, including extraordinary banquets served in exceptional surroundings here at Deer Creek Banquet Facility. Born in Sept-îles, Quebec, Chef Ashley began his national culinary career as a cook in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan before moving to the Canadian Rockies to work in the kitchens of well-known ski resorts.

Executive Chef Sean Ashley, with over 18 years of experience, creates culinary feats, including extraordinary banquets served in exceptional surroundings here at Deer Creek Banquet Facility. Born in Sept-îles, Quebec, Chef Ashley began his national culinary career as a cook in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan before moving to the Canadian Rockies to work in the kitchens of well-known ski resorts.

  • Chef Ashley's next career move was in Toronto, at The Fairmont Royal York, where he advanced into a leadership role in both large volume banquets and fine dining outlets. In the largest kitchen in Canada, Chef Ashley was part of a team that produced many high-end functions for VIP guests at the G20 conference, IFFA, the Royal Visits and TIFF, just to name a few.

  • In 2011, Chef Ashley joined the team at Deer Creek Banquet Facility where he oversees the kitchen brigade that helps to create his unique culinary vision. With an enthusiastic commitment to teaching, Chef Ashley spearheads the apprentice program and has trained many young apprentices.

  • With a focus on local Canadian food, Chef Ashley and the kitchen brigade prepare high-quality cuisine with elegant, uncomplicated presentation. Chef Ashley enjoys the support of his family, which include his wife and two daughters. When not in the kitchen or spending time with his family, Chef Ashley can often be found fishing.
